Katlin Thomas McFadden is a self-taught painter from Pennsylvania best known for her focus on portraits. She currently resides in North Carolina where she sells her original artwork and prints locally. Katlin focuses on two mediums: graphite pencils and acrylic paint. Over the last decade she has focused almost solely on black and grey drawings for which she attended schooling for. The last year brought on inspiration which lead her to make the transition to focus on painting and exploring the world of abstract brushstrokes and color theory. Katlin describes her earliest encounters with paint beginning with her impressionist paintings of ballerinas using nail polish on printer paper during her childhood. With a passion for realism and capturing characteristics, Katlin has been spending the year painting a series called "Human Nature" which explores abstract and organic elements to form a realistic larger image.
